Overview
Unlike hormone replacement therapy (HRT), prescription medications do not contain any hormones. They can be a good choice for women who have contraindications to HRTs or who are not interested in hormone replacement therapy. There is no one pill to manage all menopause symptoms (we wish!). Multiple medications may be prescribed if you are experiencing multiple menopause symptoms.
Precautions
Prescription medications may interact with other medications or supplements you may be taking. When discussing prescription medications with your doctor, make sure you inform them of all medications are you using (including supplements).
Your doctor may also ask about your medical history to make sure that the medication won't cause any adverse reactions.
